2016 4/8/Weekly Update

We will have our regular open play meeting this Saturday, 4/9, starting at 10:00 a.m. in the coffee shop area of the Books-A-Million store at the Lycoming Mall.

Wonderful news, we’re working to setup our first inter-city chess match with the new State College chess club. We’re planning on two matches, one home and one away, and we’re tentatively hosting the first match on Saturday, May 14. The annual U.S. Chess Championship tournament starts on Wednesday, April 13 at the Chess Club and Scholastic Center in Saint Louis. “The 2016 U.S. Championship is an elite national championship event, featuring 12 of the strongest chess players in America.
